Fihi Ma-Fih

Fihi Ma-Fih is book piled from the conversation of Mawlana. Some of his followers recorded his conversations, the questions answered by him and while he was annotating Prophet's words or Quran. It is not possible to give details about the dates, places and participants however believed that it was started to record these conversations while Mawlana was alive but they were not composed as book.

Arguments are handled very clearly and very clear and simple examples were given. However, many stories of Fihi Ma-Fih has maybe not esoteric but deeper meanings which is hard to understand. Especially Mawlana used lots of references to Quran, Prophet's words and other Islamic doctrine. In this blog, I will try to explain the references as far as I could while translating the stories into a plain language.

Starting

Like giving birth to a baby, starting is the hardest part of this task.

It was a while ago when the idea of publishing Mawlana's short stories flashed in my brain. Considering my poor English skills I gave up several times. Then I remember an old story about an ant who wants to go and visit Mecca. Every animal in the jungle tease with the ant since the ant is so small to take a long journey there. Then they ask to the ant, "How could you possibly arrive there" and ant answers "No matter I arrive there or not. It worth dieing while trying to arrive."

So the story triggered me again and here I am. I hope the spirit of Mawlana enlightens my way. I am just a humble servant who is trying to reach up his way.
